Padres sign Fick, DaVanon, Megrew to minor league deals (AP)
Catcher Robert Fick, outfielder Jeff DaVanon and left-hander Mike Megrew agreed to minor league contracts with the San Diego Padres on Thursday and were invited to spring training. Fick returns to the Padres after spending the last two seasons with the Washington Nationals. He was with the Padres in 2004 and 2005.
