White Sox name Cox third base coach, Nieves bullpen coach (AP)
The Chicago White Sox hired Jeff Cox as their third-base coach and Juan Nieves as their bullpen coach on Tuesday. The 51-year-old Cox, who spent the past two seasons as the Pittsburgh Pirates’ third-base coach, worked with White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen on the Florida Marlins’ and Montreal Expos’ coaching staffs.
