Livan Hernandez was ineffective again, and Nick Swisher hit a three-run homer to help an Oakland Athletics split squad beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-5 on Sunday. Padres manager Bud Black called it “arena baseball.” The Chicago White Sox roughed up David Wells in his third start of spring training and beat San Diego 14-7 on Sunday in a game that featured 34 hits.
