Graves, Rockies close to agreement (AP)
The Colorado Rockies are close to an agreement with reliever Danny Graves on a minor league contract. The team said Tuesday night that it has had extensive conversations with the 33-year-old and would resume discussions in early January. “We’re looking at different bounce-back guys,” general manager Dan O’Dowd said.

Giants and Klesko agree to $1.75 million, 1-year deal (AP)
The San Francisco Giants and free agent first baseman Ryan Klesko agreed to terms on a $1.75 million, one-year contract Tuesday, giving the club another option at first along with recently acquired Rich Aurilia. The Giants plucked another player formerly with the rival San Diego Padres, the two-time defending NL West champions.
