Rogers won’t get chance in a Game 6
The Detroit Tigers hoped Kenny Rogers’ 23-inning postseason scoreless streak wouldn’t end with him rested and ready. That’s exactly what happened.
Manager Jim Leyland gambled that there would be a Game 6 in the World Series by starting rookie Justin Verlander, instead of Rogers on four days’ rest, in Game 5 on Friday night.
